You've been making baked potatoes wrong

First it was scrambled eggs, then it was avocados and now we're being told that the one meal that we've been fairly competent at making ever since packing our bags and leaving the family home has been wrong this whole time.

Sorry guys, but baked potatoes apparently shouldn't look like this:

They should look like THIS:

The Mail Online caught up with Tonia Larson of The Gunny Sack who shared her recipe for the ultimate Baked Potato - and its' not a little bit like the 'throw in the microwave and wait' recipes that we're used to.

The key to Tonia's method is the way in which the potato is cut. Rather than simply slicing a cross in the top of your potato, Tonia uses the 'bloomin' method, which cuts the potato into a grid, leaving the core in the middle un-touched.

According to Tonia, this will leave a potato that is both creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside and - TBF - after drooling over that picture for at least half an hour, we're already sold.

Head over to the Daily Mail to see the full method and The Gunny Sack blog for more recipe ideas.
