Every year, beauty bloggers take to YouTube in an attempt to outdo each other with the most mind-bending (not to mention gram-worthy) Halloween make-up tutorials.

But this season, there’s already a clear front-runner set to inspire your October 31 aesthetic (no fancy dress costume necessary).

YouTuber Taylor R took to the video platform to share a tutorial on how to achieve “upside down reverse make-up” – and we have to admit, the results are pretty impressive.

To achieve the Halloween-ready look, Taylor began by masking her eyebrows in glue and powder in order to hide them.

Then, she began to apply her make-up upside down by drawing faux brows beneath her eyes and applying fake lashes.

The Canadian blogger later added a prosthetic nose before drawing on fake lips – a move we may need to practice a few times ahead of Halloween.

To finish the upside down effect, Taylor concealed her hair before throwing on a wig and showcasing the final look which is sure to prove a hit this Halloween.

If you manage to perfect the spine-tingling aesthetic then you deserve all of the trick or treat candy up for grabs.

One thing’s for certain, this sure beats last year’s failsafe cat ears…
