X Factor star in car accident with young children after brakes fail 'with no warning'
Cher Lloyd has experienced a scare on the roads when she was involved in a car accident with her two young children in the back. The former X Factor singer's brakes unexpectedly failed while driving her Ford Ranger, prompting her to issue a stark warning to fans.
Sharing an image of her vehicle to Instagram, Cher, 30, was shaken from suffering complete engine failure with her eight-month-old baby and five year old also in the car during the terrifying ordeal. She detailed the events on her social media post, stating: "This is my Ford Ranger. My brakes totally failed with no warning while driving with my baby and my 5-year-old."
Revealing more about the dangerous glitch that led to the total engine breakdown, she continued: "Total engine failure due to the wet belt. To anyone who owns one or is thinking of buying one, BEWARE! I'm counting my lucky stars that my family is safe. This beautiful vehicle, however, has retired well before her time @forduk."
Her worried fans soon filled her comments section with messages of concern. A distressed follower shared: "Thank the universe you and your babies are okay," reports the Mirror.
While another added their relief, commenting: "That's terrifying, especially with your littles in the car! Thank goodness you guys are ok!" A third chimed in with: "Thank goodness you're all ok, can only imagine how terrifying that was especially with your precious cargo on board."
A fan reacted to a photo posted by the singer: "Oh wow momma! ! I'm so glad you're all okay. How terrifying for you and your babies."
Cher, married to Craig Monk, keeps the images of her children shared on social media somewhat anonymous, ensuring their faces are obscured or hidden behind emojis.
Cheryl previously delighted her followers with snaps from a family trip to The Pumpkin Patch in Hereford last year. She captioned a lovely Instagram carousel post: "Pumpkin picking with my favourite people in the world," radiating joy as she was photographed holding her baby daughter, Eliza Violet.
Also spotted in the photos was her eldest child, six year old Delilah-Rae. Cher shared the exciting news about the arrival of baby Eliza with her Instagram followers in September, accompanying the announcement with an adorable first snapshot of the little one.
Cher chose to introduce her new arrival with a sweet black-and-white close-up of the baby dressed in a white onesie bearing a heart design and containing the words: "I love my sister", as she captioned the post: "ELIZA VIOLET 9/9/23".
The singer first shot to fame on The X Factor at the tender age of 16. However, she's since expressed that she wouldn't want her own children to tread the same path, admitting she was an "angry teen" at the time.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday, she confessed: "If I had a 16-year-old daughter, I wouldn't let her do a show like that. I wasn't ready and it just messed with my head."
