Women, Tell Us The Most Inconsiderate Thing Your Boyfriend Or Husband Has Ever Done
No couple is perfect...obviously. Though you should always strive to be considerate of your partner's feelings, people make mistakes. Sometimes, couples find themselves on different pages, and someone gets hurt.
Perhaps your husband of 17 years booked a "boy's trip" with his friends over the weekend of your 45th birthday because you told him you didn't want a party, so he thought you "didn't care" about celebrating your birthday. He argued that you never made a big deal about your birthday, so he assumed you wouldn't mind if he wasn't there to celebrate with you the day of. He didn't understand why you were hurt by his suggestion to celebrate with him a few days before or after the actual date. Considering you made sure his birthday was incredibly special each year, you felt really disappointed by his carelessness.
Maybe your boyfriend of six months neglected to take you as his plus-one to his work holiday party and opted to take his single best guy friend instead. It was a fancy cocktail party, and many of his coworkers brought their significant others. He brushed it off by telling you it "wasn't a big deal," but it hurt your feelings and made you feel insecure in the relationship. When you confronted him about it, he revealed he didn't want one of his female colleagues to know he was in a relationship because they used to have a thing, and he wasn't sure how she'd react. This led to a big fight, which ultimately caused you two to break up a month later.
Or, perhaps your brand-new fiancé wanted to post a photo dump on Instagram to announce your new engagement (which you thought was very sweet). You expected him to use some of the professional photos you two had taken during your engagement shoot. Instead, he posted a bunch of photos he'd taken of you over the years, ranging from unflattering candids to a few more scandalous photos you thought would stay private. You were appalled by his decision to post such things without checking with you and begged him to delete the post. He took the photos down and apologized for not getting your approval first, but he still insisted you were being a bit sensitive.
