Maura Higgins 'confirms' Pete Wicks romance on I'm A Celeb as she fumes over kissing pictures
Maura Higgins, 34, addressed whether she was dating Strictly Come Dancing contestant Pete Wicks, 36, during tonight's drama-filled instalment of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! Social media star GK Barry couldn't resist asking the Irish beauty about her love life while they had a moment together washing their underwear in the Australian camp's creek.
At first, GK asked the former Love Island star about her experience of being in the public eye since leaving the famous villa in 2019. Maura said that the interest was always in her love life, as she explained: “I get it in a sense because I know I was on a dating show, but it was five years ago.” Detailing a situation where the press asked her if she was dating Pete, who rose to fame on The Only Way is Essex, she told them: “You know more than me! No, I'm single. People can date and not be in a relationship and take things slow.”
Continuing to discuss the press, she added: “What’s the point in getting them involved too soon when you just don’t know where it’s gonna go, you know?”

GK explained she tried to keep her relationship with her partner, footballer Ella Rutherford, under wraps before Maura said of herself and Pete: “Well, we’ve already been papped, tongues down each other’s necks, and we had no idea!”
The conversation soon moved to Marua's mother, with the brunette bombshell revealing to GK she tells her everything.
Maura quipped: "And if I slept with a guy, my mum would ask me, ‘Well, what was he like in the bed?’ and she would get every gory detail.”
Fans flocked to social media during their candid chat, with one writing: "So Maura is dating Pete..." Another said: "Maura mentioned Pete!" "Pete Wicks namedrop finally," another said. A fourth added: "Maura confirming she’s dating Pete Wicks."
Abbey quipped: "Maura yesterday: I’m not saying who I’m dating. Maura today: so Pete Wicks…"
The former Love Islander and Pete were spotted many times together before she entered the jungle, including in a cosy clinch at the Pride of Britain Awards in October.
Last night, Maura's campmate Oti Mabuse questioned whether she was single or not, to which she replied: "I am but I was seeing someone before I came in but I'm not in a relationship."
Reverend Richard then probed: "Was it exclusive? Or if I've put you on the spot, sorry!" Maura had a think before admitting: "I dunno."
Admitting she had missed him since being in camp, Maura also confirmed it was someone the public was aware of.
When the campmates spoke about their own experiences with love, the reality star admitted she had never been in love before.
