When it comes to chores, cleaning is definitely up there as high priority.

It's not necessarily something we enjoy doing, but sadly it needs to get done. Often people have their own specific methods when it comes to cleaning their floors – and the one woman certainly has a unique way.

Posting on TikTok, user @KateSi_AdviceMom, who boasts 130,000 followers, recently told her fans "you wash the floor wrong". And to make her point, she even demonstrated her own method which didn't necessarily go down well.

In the clip, the woman starts by chucking away her mop bucket into her sink full of cutlery and plates. As she pours the dirty bucket down the sink, she then grabs a blue float (remember the kind you'd use for the swimming pool) and fills it up with water.

Next she manages to turn it into a pipe so the water travels from the sink to the mop bucket on the floor. After she adds her cleaning products, which also include baking soda and vinegar. Then after filling up the contents, she mixes with her hands.

Her final step is dipping her cloth into the bucket before popping it onto her mop and finally gets to work. While the products she used can be quite handy for a cleaning novice, many people couldn't help but poke fun at her first step.

In the comments section of the video, which garnered 59,600 likes, one wrote: "After seeing the dirty water dumped on dishes, I will not be needing any cleaning advice." While another added: "This is why I don't eat at people's houses."

And a third chimed in: "No trigger! The dirty water, the dishes." Then a fourth posted: "Always throw the bucket of dirty water into the toilet." Meanwhile, it wasn't all negativity in her comments section as some appreciated her tips.

One posted: "It's a great idea, I will try." And someone else agreed: "Great idea!" Others warned baking soda and vinegar cancel each other out when used as cleaning products.

Baking soda and vinegar are a powerful, nontoxic, and eco-friendly cleaning combination that can be used for many tasks around the home, from unclogging drains and deodorising your space.
