Rebecca Chobat, the chef behind the Dollar Tree Dinners TikTok page, provided a delicious and affordable spin on the classic feast
Dollar Tree Dinners is back with a special Thanksgiving edition!
The popular TikTok account, run by Rebecca Chobat, shared ways to build affordable yet tasty meals in a recent video. For the upcoming holiday, the creator put together a $20 Thanksgiving feast for her 2 million followers, made up entirely of Dollar Tree food items.
"Not only have I already made the Dollar Tree Thanksgiving dinner, I do think it was my best Thanksgiving dinner I have ever made," Chobat said in the video.

She credits this to the fact that Dollar Tree recently added many Thanksgiving-themed food items, including the star of the meal — canned turkey.
The meal consists of mac & cheese croquettes with ranch as an appetizer, a main course of a "Best of Thanksgiving" casserole and caramel apple cookie bars for dessert.
Every ingredient on Chobat's list is $1.25, she noted. The full meal calls for a can of Swanson chicken broth; Kraft ranch; Italian seasoned breadcrumbs; Kraft mac & cheese; turkey stuffing mix; a big, unflavored bag of Idahoan Original Mashed Potatoes; Pioneer Roasted Turkey Gravy mix; dried cranberries; French style green beans; two cans of turkey; milk; margarine; sugar cookie mix; Werther's Chewy Caramel candies and apple pie filling.
The total cost, as promised, is $20. Optional add-ons include a large casserole dish, a block of cheddar cheese and an extra sugar cookie mix, each $1.25.
Another TikTok creator, "Caleb Cooks," shared that he saw a single mother of three collecting the ingredients for Chobat's $20 Thanksgiving meal. According to Caleb, the mother had planned on heating frozen meals for the holiday, but Chobat's Dollar Tree Thanksgiving dinner gave her the idea to prepare "a real Thanksgiving dinner" for her kids.
"I want her to know that her videos are helping people," he said.

Chobat made a video in response, and thanked Caleb for the sweet story.
"I don't have the words to describe how I'm feeling today," Chobat said. "I think the closest I can come to is that I'm humbled, and I am honored although I don't really think that fully encapsulates it."
