Woman Claims Pokémon GO Triggered Her Labour

It appears that Pokémon GO is controlling the world. Whether it’s sending us into strangers’ back gardens, making us decorate ourselves in weird and wonderful ways or deciding what we name our first born child, there’s no escaping it.
And now, it’s responsible for a life, as a woman has claimed it sent her into labour.
Amber Wilde, a woman from south east London, was 41 weeks pregnant when using the app induced her labour, she claims.
Being one month overdue at the time, she said that she had tried everything she could to try and go into labour - but to no avail.

According to Metro she had a meeting arranged with medics to figure out what to do next and “was eating pineapple and rolled around on a birth ball – but nothing seemed to work", she said.
But after downloading the app and walking almost three miles playing the game, she claims the app finally worked its magic on her.
“Men in suits at my office were obsessed with the game, so I decided to download it for the journey home and give it a go,” she said.
“I did it to pass the time if nothing else, but within 24 hours I was in labour.

“It’s amazing that by walking around my neighbourhood, playing Pokémon Go, helped me give birth to our beautiful girls.”
She gave birth to a second set of twins. Unfortunately, she won’t be naming them after Pokémon, but they’ll be called Olympia and Embla instead.
“If the game is still cool when they’re older I will tell them how they were brought into the world – it’s a quirky story.”
