Where to go to see fireworks on New Years Eve
UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast, some events may not be going ahead, so check with the event organiser ahead of time.
With New Year’s Eve on the horizon, many of us might be thinking about our plans for the biggest night of the year. However, with the current weather forecast for the New Year period including heavy rain, strong winds and some snow according to the Met Office, make sure to check with organisers that the event is definitely going ahead. Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh, including the firework display, have already been cancelled.
If you happen to live in the city or nearby to one, or maybe you’ve planned a trip or little staycation to ring in 2025, there are some incredible fireworks displays to enjoy on 31 December.
With some of the most famous displays in London and Edinburgh, and others dotted up and down the length and breadth of the UK, you won’t be short on choices. Alternatively, if you’d rather spend New Year’s Eve at home, watching the fireworks displays from the comfort of your sofa, you'll also be able to tune in to a few.
But if you do fancy venturing out and making a night of it, here are some of the best New Year’s Eve fireworks displays...
London NYE Fireworks, presented by the Mayor of London

Alternatively you can also catch it from the comfort of your sofa on TV on BBC One.
