Where do Kate and Gerry McCann live now 15 years after Madeleine's disappearance?

Madeleine McCann has been back in the news recently, withJulia Wendellbelieving she was missing Maddie, but the latest DNA results prove she is not the daughter of Kate and Gerry McCann. Where do the parents of Madeleine McCann live now, 15 years after their daughter's disappearance?

When Kate and Gerry's eldest daughter went missing, they were on holiday at the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, taking a break from their normal life back in Rothley in Leicestershire.

The couple still reside in the same property where they lived 15 years ago. It has been pictured from the outside, revealing it is a brick-build structure with Georgian-style windows and a separate two-car garage. Their driveway is blocked off by a large country-side wooden gate and there's a post box on the exterior pillar.

Their large brown front door has two lantern lights either side and outside has been decorated with plants in pots on the patio.

We have been unable to see inside the McCann household as neither Gerry or Kate has social media, but we can only imagine from the exterior that it is classic and chic in equal measure.

The sleepy village of Rothley is known for its wine estate and castle, and it has two village greens and a local pub.

The surrounding area forms a close-knit community, and the villagers were all affected by Madeleine's shock disappearance. Speaking to the BBC, neighbour Barbara Stevenson, said: "I think the whole area was affected by it because you always think what would happen if that was one of your children or grandchildren."

Kate and Gerry shared a post following the 15th anniversary of Madeleine’s disappearance in May 2022 on their website in a statement: "Many people talk about the need for ‘closure’. It’s always felt a strange term. Regardless of outcome, Madeleine will always be our daughter and a truly horrific crime has been committed.

"These things will remain. It is true though that uncertainty creates weakness; knowledge and certainty give strength, and for this reason our need for answers, for the truth, is essential. We are grateful for the ongoing work and commitment of the UK, Portuguese and German authorities as it is this combined police effort which will yield results and bring us those answers."
