Claudia Winkleman's Traitors outfits may be all anyone with even the vaguest interest in fashion can talk about right now, but her makeup – and, in particular, her signature lipstick – gets just as much as attention. Take a quick scroll through the comments of her Instagram posts (and those from stylist, Sinead McKeefry, and makeup artist, Lucy Gibson) and you'll be met by a flood of requests for the nude shade she uses – and has been using seemingly for time immemorial.

Because when it comes to Claudia, four things make up her iconic look: black hair, heavy fringe, smudgy black eyeliner...and MAC's Fleshpot lipstick. Sure, she sometimes flirts with a red lip (MAC's Lady Danger, if you're wondering), but we almost always see her favouring the pale 'concealer' shade to keep the attention on those eyes and that fringe. She loves it so much, she's declared she'd be "bereft" without it on multiple occasions. "This is the only one for me," she told Get the Gloss. "It was, quite simply, love at first sight. When I first tried it on, I just knew."

Claud's a fan, then. Which is why she'll no doubt be as delighted as we were to learn that after a year out of stock for reformulation, the "warm, light beige" Fleshpot is back and better than ever as part of MAC's new Nudes Edit. Described as "a sleek satin lipstick that nourishes lips and gives creamy, bold colour with all-day moisture", our Senior Beauty Writer Phoebe Lee has tried it and rates its "true satiny finish that gives really saturated colour and is comfortable to wear".

Not sure if Claudia's 'Tippex lips' look, popular in the early Noughties, is for you? Over to Phoebe for some, ahem, tips. "The shade is tricky to wear," she says. "On lighter skin tones it's like a lip eraser: so nude that it knocks back any pinky colour in the lips, and makes them almost look invisible. If you're wearing this, I think you have to have something really dramatic going on elsewhere to liven up the face: a strong blusher, or an intense eye (which is how Claudia makes it look good). To make it more wearable, you can use a deep brown lipliner and scribble it over the lips, putting Fleshpot in the centre, for an ombré, gradient finish."
