The sisters, from Los Cabos, Mexico, never knew their older brother, Gerardo. He tragically died at the age of 5 before either of his sisters was born. Nevertheless, their parents went out of their way to keep his memory alive and he was always loved and cherished as part of the family.

As adults, Hannia and Isle wanted to do something special for their parents to celebrate Gerardo’s important place in all their lives. So, they commissioned artist Nahomy McQueen, a popular illustrator on TikTok, to create a family portrait with their late brother at the heart.
