Vogue Williams models her favourite M&S staples in one 'really chic' look
Whenever Vogue Williams shares her latest best buys from high street hero Marks & Spencer, they fly off the shelves. It's easy to see why: the TV presenter, podcaster and fashion influencer has got great taste, often picking out those classic pieces that look much more expensive than their affordable price tags (case in point: the 'best fitting jeans ever').
This month, the M&S ambassador has hunted out the chicest items from the retailer's current range, including a staple striped striped jumper, relaxed-fit black trousers and a forever stylish trench. Her outfit is the perfect inspiration as we look ahead to spring, helping us instantly look put together on those tricky transitional days.
'I'm very into my outfit today so I can't wait to show you what I'm wearing,' said Vogue as she talked us through her new favourite look in an Instagram video. 'First up, stripes! I love [this jumper]. It's not too thick but it's also not too light.'
The jumper in question is cut for an effortless relaxed fit, ideal for layering, with a crew neckline and horizontal stripes. Vogue went for the black style with white stripes, but it also comes in mocha with black stripes for a more toned-down take.
Next it was onto the 'baggy black trousers', which Vogue describes as 'absolutely amazing'.
'They've got a little stretchy back,' she said. 'I always find Marks & Spencer sizing quite spot on. I'm an eight or a ten, depending, but I went for these in a ten. I probably could have done an eight because of the stretch but I kind of like the baggier leg.'
Then it was onto the shoes, with Vogue holding up a sweet pair of simple black ballet pumps with little bows. 'I love a little ballerina slipper and these are like velvet inside,' she said. 'They're so comfy.'
Finally, it was time for Vogue to add the ultimate transitional wardrobe icon: the trench coat.
'If you don't have a trench in your life, you gotta get one,' said Vogue. 'You need a trench in your wardrobe.'
So there you have it, an easy yet super stylish look to copy for a purse-friendly price.
'For me, this whole outfit is a wardrobe staple,' said Vogue. 'I just love it, I think it looks really chic.'
