If you’ve ever traveled with kids, then you’re likely familiar with the heavy mental load that is packing and organizing everything you need to bring along for your kids. Especially because you know that no matter how meticulous you are when putting everything together, the minute you arrive at your destination those suitcases are going to look like a bomb went off.

Needless to say, this “packing hack” for going on vacation with your kids is, without question, the solution to all of the above.

Stephanie, a mom who goes by @betterwithchardonnay on TikTok, shared the packing hack on her account recently, and it’s no wonder the video blew up.

So what’s the trick? One of those cheap, plastic, over-the-door shoe organizers. YEP.

“Lay out every single outfit per day, roll it up, and throw it into each one of those little slots,” she explains. “I am using one organizer to pack for two toddlers on a six-day trip.”

Because kids’ clothes are so small, this is honestly genius. And you can use all the remaining slots for any other small items or toiletries, roll it alllllll up, and jam that thing into a bag or suitcase. And voilà! There it goes, and there it can stay for the duration of your trip.

The packing hack was a hit in the comments section, too.

This is how I do my kids clothes every day. It hangs on their doors and they pick out which outfit to wear. No messy dressers.

This is genius! I spend so much time coordinating outfits to just have my husband grab random stuff out of the suitcase to change them.

I did this with gallon bags 10 years ago when we went to Disney. Kids could pick their outfit and in the bag it had socks too. Worked amazing.

I did this when we went to the beach. It really was so much easier!! I put diapers in wipes in some too and we always knew exactly where they were.

Leave it to moms to come together and solve the world’s problems, huh? And if you’re looking for a solution that will save you time, energy, and space—here you go. Enjoy!
