Many of us would jump at the chance to be a student again.

From the brief lectures, to all the free time to the endless boozy nights with our best mates. But it looks as though some things about the party lifestyle may have changed.

That's if you go to Cardiff Univeristy, at least. Videos have gone viral on TikTok after clips emerged of the Students' Union reaching its maximum capacity. And it doesn't end there, as party-goers were out on the town in their masses by the early time of 8.15pm.

People have been left in hysterics after clips emerged showing the jam-packed venue, and people have claimed it could "only happen at Cardiff Uni". One video, shared by @browndoortok, posed the question: "Can we agree to stop going at seven?"

Meanwhile, a video shared by @ella_lucia said: "Not Cardiff Uni SU reaching max capacity at 8.15pm." It's fair to say the footage has left many people talking, as they've been viewed thousands of times, and people simply couldn't believe what they were watching.

One person said: "Things have changed so much since I was there. We didn't used to even go out until after 10pm."

Another wrote: "Used to go there 2001-2004, and thankfully it was never like this. 80p a pint on a Monday, and didn't used to go out until 10.30pm."

A third added: "8.15pm? Freshers in 2016, we wouldn't even leave the flat before 11pm."

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "That club used to be dead until at least 11pm back in the day. Coming from a Cardiff fresher back in 2012."

Cardiff Students' Union is a popular spot for students during their time in the city. From nights out to live music - it's a hub where many gather to enjoy their downtime.

But it seems not everyone thought the early night out was a bad idea, with some left delighted by the changed antics of party-goers. Others even said they can remember the venue filling up that early during their time at university.

One chimed in with: "Not changed since 2016 then. Literally had to sell a kidney to make it in back then."

Another added: "They're actually so right. Pres at 7pm, club at 9pm, home in bed by 11pm/12am."

Additionally, someone else quipped: "Got a module in the morning, can't be out too late."
