Victoria’s Secret model, Shanina Shaik has stepped out in a unique asymmetric gown which showed off her killer pins and quirky style.
Halloween is approaching, which means we can expect fashion to be that little more outlandish, and last night Shanina certainly seemed to have got the memo.
The 28-year-old showed up to host the 2019 UNICEF Masquerade Ball in Los Angeles rocking a white bodysuit dress with a dramatic lop-sided train.
The one-sleeved ensemble, by Vietnamese couture designer Cong Tri, featured an oversized bow at the front and a one-sided skirt-style train, which hung on her left.
Arriving at the venue the model stopped to strike a confident pose before revealing her pert derriere as she strutted down the red carpet to fulfil her role as host.
Held at the trend Kimpton La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood’s Design District, Shanina was joined by other A-list guests including Olivia Culpo, Billie Eilish and Avril Lavigne for the event, which raised funds for The United Nations Children’s Fund’s projects.
In terms of her make-up the Australian model also seemed to be taking inspo from Halloween by opting for silver jewels under her eyes and on her lids, framed by doll-like eye lashes.
Meanwhile her extra long hair extensions were swept into a high ponytail plait.
It has been a busy, and no doubt emotional, year for the model who announced her split from husband DJ Ruckus earlier this year after a year of marriage.
The couple got engaged in 2015 and tied the knot in April 2018 but announced their split in June, with a representative for Shanina saying: “They move forward with much mutual respect and love for each other.”
At the time she shared a picture of herself to Instagram, along with the caption: “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.”
Earlier this year the model was also the first to reveal that the 2019 Victoria’s Secret fashion show had been cancelled.
The 28-year-old model dropped the bombshell to The Daily Telegraph Australia, claiming that the catwalk show is going on a hiatus.
Shanina Shaik also revealed in the interview that she wasn’t used to not having to “train like an angel”.
The model walked a total of five shows between 2011-2018.
“It's something I'm not used to because every year around this time I'm training like an angel. But I'm sure in the future something will happen which I'm pretty sure about,” she said.
“I'm sure they're trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show because it's the best show in the world,” she revealed.
Shanina started modelling as a child and got her breakthrough in 2011 when she was cast to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Despite her success, Shanina told Vogue Australia that she has considered quitting the modelling industry many times in the past.
"Honestly, there are so many times where I've wanted to give up! I'm like, 'I might quit modelling now... I don't know.' But having people around you who really care about you definitely keeps you going," she candidly confessed.
Shanina isn’t the only one to channel the asymmetric look recently. Back in August Celine Dion pulled off some wild asymmetric jeans and in June this year Rita Ora divided fans with her unusual one legged jeans while performing at Soccer Aid.
