Katie Holmes is well on her way to style icon status in 2019. The 40-year-old ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actress has upped her fashion game over the past few months, most notably starting the viral cardigan and matching bra look back in August.

Weeks later and the A-lister has stepped out in yet another surprising, but stylish, combination: a little black dress and polka dot tights.

Giving us all a reminder of the has-been patterned tights trend, Katie made a strong case for the hosiery in head-to-toe Saint Laurent at the Nordstrom Flagship Opening Party in NYC earlier this week.

The sheer tights were paired with a retro-inspired silk mini dress with square-shoulders and ruched detail, which is available to buy for £1,900.
