Vanessa Feltz in brutal one-word swipe about ex Ben Ofoedu
During a discussion on This Morning, Vanessa Feltz took a swipe at her ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu following their split in 2022. The TV star is a regular guest on the ITV daytime show and usually joins in discussions and debates.
Vanessa, 62, and radio host Tom Swarbrick joined hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on Wednesday, 24 April on the iconic blue sofa. The group discussed the latest news, with Ben, 49, unveiling the findings of a study about relationships and driving.
He and his co-stars discussed whether they are a 'backseat driver' - a car passenger who excessively comments on the driver's actions and decisions, despite not being in control of the car themselves.
Vanessa wasted no time opening up about her ex Ben, 51, and how he was reluctant to learn to drive while they were together, meaning Vanessa was always the one to drive them to places. She said he "refused" to learn to drive.
"Well, let's just say, my last relationship went on for nearly 17 years, and that incumbent refused to learnt to drive so I was the chauffeur. Cook, bottle washer and chauffeur," she said, laughing.
Vanessa added: "And the backseat driving got worse with every year. Including the thing where that person was pushing on an imaginary brake as I was driving. I'm a bit of a girl racer at times but I did not like it. And I just think, if you want to drive, learn to drive." She then branded the situation "infuriating" as her co-stars laughed.
Vanessa and Ben, who were engaged, split in 2022. Their break up was very public and painful, with Ben publicly apologising for being unfaithful to his girlfriend of 17 years.
However, Vanessa has been embracing single life with gusto and regularly hitting the town. She hasn’t shied away from dating – even appearing on Celebs Go Dating last year. But she struggled to find Mr Right on the E4 show.
Now, Vanessa has met new love interest Stefan Pierre Tomlin, who is 29 years her junior and rose to prominence in 2017 as “Mr Tinder” after bagging 14,600 right-swipes on the dating app.
“It’s very early days for Vanessa and her new man, but her friends are encouraging her to be cautious. It’s no secret that he likes the limelight – being the most swiped man on Tinder speaks for itself – and they’re telling her to take everything with a pinch of salt,” a source told OK!.
