Unofficial 'Bridgerton' Ball Compared To Fyre Festival And Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience
With three seasons under its belt and now one of Netflix's most watched shows, Bridgerton has amassed a cult like following of Ton fans who will go to any lengths - it would seem - to have a taste of that high aristocratic lifestyle.
It was only natural then that when Bridgerton fans in Detroit, Michigan, were offered the chance to attend an unofficial Bridgerton-inspired ball, many jumped on the chance. Guests were promised a fully immersive experience, with an evening inspired by the balls attended by the Ton filled with fine dining, live classical music, entertainment and one lucky guest to be crowned the Diamond of the season.

Sadly, the guests were met with a very difference experience. Reminiscent of Fyre Festival and Glasgow's Willy Wonka experience, the unofficial Bridgerton ball fell extremely short of what the organising event had advertised. According to reports, guests were fed raw food and there was a stripper pole in the venue.

Fans were photographed bored and scrolling on their phones as the only form of entertainment came via a single dancer.
The “dancing” they had was ONE. STRIPPER. pic.twitter.com/lEyL6DbNgf

As the voice in one Twitter video states: 'I don't remember this in Bridgerton.'
And it didn't stop there. Apparently, guests didn't even receive a hot meal, and instead were given undercooked, and some raw food.
Food apparently ran out after an hour, and some was raw. No one was there to pick up plates, so you had to deal with strangers’ leftovers yourself pic.twitter.com/VpbZqHZxwS

As seen in the pictures, the waiting staff weren't even dressed up in Ton attire. As for the live music? A lone violinist was left to play her instrument in a corner of the room.
The “live music” advertised was this poor lone violin player 😭 pic.twitter.com/Yt6zEOrXxV

As reported by WXYZ Detroit, a local news station, and evidenced by social media, the evening was a complete disaster. One attendee named Charming Amecia Fuller-Ragland spoke about the experience, noting: 'It was complete chaos today. They never even scanned our tickets. Then there were random people that we had paid to eat dinner and there were random people all throughout the venue.'
The company behind the event, Uncle N Me LLC stated that they were 'reviewing resolution options', and for the sake of all the attendees, we truly hope that they are.
