Cornwall tops list of UK's 20 best staycation spots

Cornwall has been named the best family staycation destination in the UK after research found 53% of Brits now go on more staycations than holidays abroad.
The research revealed the top 20 places to go on holiday on home turf, with the Lake District and London also ranking highly.
Edinburgh, York and Blackpool also feature in the top 10.
The data revealed that 45% refuse to take their kids away without some access to a pool or the sea within a 10-mile radius.
When it comes to spending, parents will splash, on average, £142 a day on attractions or to go to the beach.
The Lake District was found to be the best destination for value for money, followed by Cornwall and Devon.
London was voted the best destination for attractions and activities, alongside Bath and Manchester.
Almost half of the 2,000 parents surveyed by Premier Inn - who all have children under 18 - said it is important that there are affordable accommodation options when planning the perfect staycation.
