Tensions have risen in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle and two campmates have clashed over their assigned chores. Last week camp leaders Danny Jones and Barry McGuigan reassigned the chores amongst the campmates - though not everyone has been entirely happy with what they’ve been allocated since then.

On Wednesday, 27 November’s episode, Melvin Odoom and Dean McCullough were at loggerheads over their shared water duties. As Melvin, 44, went to work with his chores, Dean was nowhere to be seen, leaving Melvin to begin the task alone as he told his campmates: “This is a lone man situation, he’s very good at disappearing.”

His fellow BBC Radio 1 colleague Dean, 32, eventually tucked into his chores and was tasked with carrying one pot of water back to camp. However, as he helped with his water duties, the TV personality didn’t hold back in complaining about the task.

“That is no joke, the pot is so heavy,” he said. “I hate doing the water guys, I've said it, I’m just gonna have to hold my hands up, it’s an awful job and I hate it, and I don’t wanna do it anymore. Guys I can’t, it’s not for me!”

However, as he continued to moan about his chores, Dean’s fellow campmates were forced to step in and he received some stern words from camp leader Danny. “Just get on with it mate,” the McFly star told him.

Even as the rest of camp gave him words of encouragement, Dean was less than happy and admitted to “hating” the role he’d been assigned. “Look, no beef, no drama, I just hate my job,” he said, before Melvin joked: “Listen, your new name is Houdini because you like to disappear.”

This isn’t the first time that Dean has found himself at the centre of the drama over the allocation of tasks. Just last week fans predicted that he would be the first to leave camp after clashing with Coronation Street star Alan Halsall after he woke Dean so he could carry out his wood-collecting duties alongside Jane Moore.

Not too pleased to be disturbed, Dean told the Bush Telegraph: “I opened my eyes and wee Tyrone from Coronation Street is like: 'Come on, mate, you need to go down to the bottom of the creek.' He didn't even give me a chance to say yes or no because he went: 'You don't fancy it? No?' and ran.

“He was being a real camp leader. I was like: 'Whoa, whoa, whoa don't dig me out like that.' And I had to say to him: 'If you're going to say: 'Don't fancy it? ' - give me a chance'. Because of course I fancy it. I want to help Jane. I went straight down and helped her.”
