Twitter thinks Prince Charles fell asleep during the royal wedding and is crying with laughter
Poor Prince Charles! The royal family is usually so well put-together, and so well managed, that life must feel pretty easy and sedentary at times. But not this week.
After the Thomas Markle drama: where the world worried whether Meghan Markle’s father would walk her down the aisle, and then right at the last minute, being asked to walk Meghan down the aisle himself – but only half way, mind, it’s no surprise Prince Charles is exhausted.
But does that warrant a quick nap during the royal wedding ceremony?
Twitter is blowing up with hilarious comments, as people tweet pictures of the Prince looking like he’s catching forty winks in his seat at St. George’s chapel, as his son Prince William, sat next to him, keeps watch.

Is #PrinceCharles falling asleep or just moved?

The poor man isn’t known for his virile agility, and who knows: maybe the church was actually really stuffy, and he ate a little too much at breakfast?
#RoyalWedding Uh-Oh…Prince Charles has fallen asleep! #Busted

Maybe the emotion of the day knocked him for six: we’ve all been there, and it was an exceptionally long ceremony.
We’re definitely sympathetic, but seeing as it’s the most important event of the year, and is broadcast to millions all over the world, it’s probably not the thing to do.
And Twitter are laughing with glee:

Do you think Prince Charles actually fell asleep? Or was he hiding a snigger during the pastor’s impassioned sermon?
And if he did fall asleep, is Prince Charles symbolic of us all?
Slightly frazzled by the emotion and excitement of the day, a bit dehydrated from the heat and too many Pimms, and now, most definitely in need of a good lie down.
