The Traitors star Alexander's impressive five-figure salary and what he could earn after BBC series
Despite often drawing the suspicion of his fellow players, The Traitors star Alexander Dragonetti has cemented himself as one of the stand-out contestants of this year's BBC series.
From falling into a bush playing badminton to his operatic singing and remarkably speedy running, the former British Diplomat has given viewers some of the most entertaining moments of the reality show's third season. His enduring politeness in the face of flaring tempers at the Round Table has even earned him the moniker of the 'people's princess' from show fans.
Before appearing on the series, the 38-year-old Londoner revealed his intentions for joining the series, telling the BBC: "I've lived around the world in different countries. I hope this will be something I’ll enjoy... and if not, it’ll be something new.

"Secondly, I think it would be fun to bring my diplomatic skills to the game - a diplomat is meant to win people over and be good at influencing and negotiating. And finally, it's a show with heart."
In one emotional episode, Alexander opened up about his brother who passed away, and how he intended to donate some of the prize money, should he win it, to the charity that helped his sibling.
"Part of it I'd give to a charity called The Royal Mencap Society – my brother used to go to a Mencap holiday every year and it gives respite for parents so that special needs kids can have a holiday and so can parents, which was awesome.
"I was a carer at Mencap five years running and I really enjoyed it, my brother really enjoyed it and my parents got a break too and I'd like to help bankroll that a bit," he continued, adding: "I'd also like to buy a flat because civil servant salaries are not as large as people think they are!"
While not much is known about his current civil servant role, in his previous position he could have earned a five-figure salary of between £35,000 to £47,000 as a Diplomatic Service Officer. However, he stands to earn much more after his stint on the BBC series.
One PR expert has predicted the star could earn more than £500,000 thanks to future brand deals and TV appearances.
"It looks like the Faithfuls will win the show, but will they share the winnings? Of the finalists Alexander could do well after the show, viewers seem to like him and popularity will transcend after the show if he makes the right career decisions," said PR guru Lyn Carratt.
"I believe he could make in excess of £500,000 this year with TV and brand deals. He could definitely appear on Celebrity SAS."
She added: "I believe other entertaining characters on the show like Linda and Minah will also be able to make in excess of £250,000 this year."
The Traitors finale kicks off tonight (January 24) at the earlier time of 8.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. It will be followed by Uncloaked on the same channel.
