TOWIE's Ella Rae Wise sparks Dan Edgar split rumours with cryptic post - after pair pack on PDA
Ella Rae Wise's romance with Dan Edgar may be over before it's really begun, after the TOWIE favourite shared a cryptic post to Instagram fuelling split rumours. Things heated up between Ella and Dan while on a cast trip to Bali at the beginning of the year, and their romance had appeared to be going well.
However, Ella, 23, took part in a Q&A session with fans on Instagram on 17 April, where she was asked about her house. A fan penned: "Why have you gone from a big house to a small house?"
Ella cryptically responded: "Because I'm an independent princess who doesn't need a man to depend on to fund my lifestyle."
Prior to taking part in the Q&A session, Ella had shared a similar post about being "independent". She shared a quote to her Stories, which read: "Ready to get prettier, make more money, go on trips & just elevate my whole life." She penned: "independent princess" next to the post.
Ella first grew close to Dan, 33, while in Bali with the rest of the TOWIE cast in January. Things quickly heated up between the pair, and in scenes which aired in the new series of the reality show, Ella and Dan can be seen kissing and getting steamy.
Dan, who was in a relationship with fellow TOWIE star Amber Turner, 30, for six years, spoke to OK! about his romance with Ella and explained that it “naturally happened” while they were filming for the show. He said: “We were away together – two of the only single people on the show. It has just naturally happened. If you get on with someone and you find them attractive, then it is going to happen.
“It isn’t anything deep – we will go with the flow. She is single and I am single. I don’t owe anyone anything. I am enjoying myself, it is as simple as that really. We never really spent a long time around each other. It hasn’t needed a deep conversation."
Dan split from Amber in May 2023 and moved out of the home they shared in Essex. Amber has tried not to react to his new romance with Ella, but was seen in recent TOWIE scenes becoming tearful about their failed relationship.
Speaking about Ella and Dan, she said: "The fact that they are together, I think because I knew it was gonna happen - that part doesn't shock me." Amber then became emotional as she admitted she still gets "upset" as she saw Dan as her "family".
