Tom Ackerley Shared The Sweetest Comment About The Realities Of Being Married To Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie and her husband of seven years Tom Ackerley might spend '24 hours a day' together, but according to the British producer, they have forged a seamless work/life balance in their relationship.
In a rare interviews with the Sunday Times, the 34-year-old opened up about his marriage to the Barbie star, noting of their work and private life: 'We don't have a toggle on, toggle off. It's all become one thing.'
The couple met in 2013 when Ackerley was working as third assistant director on the Belgium set of her 2017 film, Suite Française. They began dating in 2014 and launched their production company LuckyChap with their two friends, Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr, the same year. In the years since, the company has cultivated over 25 Oscar nominations.

The producer also admitted that he 'feels like an honorary Aussie' and 'Margot feels like an honorary Brit', with the couple arguing over biscuits – more specifically on 'whether Tim Tams or Penguins are better’.
'Movies are a crazy business where you are selling something that isn't tangible, it's an idea. You have no idea how much it's going to make, who's going to see it, if they'll see it or how it will be received,' Robbie added, following the recent launch of their pair’s Australian gin company Papa Salt.
'This feels a lot more straightforward, it's easier to predict things. You can lay this out on a spreadsheet in a way that you can't lay out a movie idea. Our passions are movies and drinks, and now we've ticked them both.'
The couple married in 2016 in a private ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia.
In a previous interviews with Porter, Robbie shared of the pair’s marriage: ‘I’m a great advocate of doing business with your partner. Being married is actually the most fun ever, life got way more fun somehow.’
Speaking about how they manage their working schedules, she noted: ‘Even if we both have to fly to a country in-between where we both are for one night, we’ll do it and then fly back to work the next day. And we speak all day, every day on the phone.’
