Toddler's "droopy eyes" alerted docs to tumour causing blindness
A toddler is at risk of losing her vision due to a rare brain tumour - after her "droopy" eyes raised alarm bells. Little Della Messenger, two, was at an appointment to check her heart - but the doctor was more concerned by her eyes. One in particular was slightly "droopy" so he booked her in for a full eye scan - which showed one of her eye nerves was particularly swollen. Della was then diagnosed with a benign brain tumour called optic pathway glioma pressing on her optic nerves. Worried parents Raegan Brady, 31, and Alex Messenger, 30, were warned the non-cancerous tumour had been causing their little girl's eyesight to deteriorate.
