Carley Brunetto; Madeleine WhiteA bride was left heartbroken after her wedding reception dress order was canceled just weeks before her big day. Her tune changed when an influencer came to the rescue.
Charleston-based bride Carley Brunetto, 32, asked fellow brides for help after her dream reception dress turned into a nightmare situation. Last week, she posted a disheartening video on TikTok showing a screenshot of her canceled Saks Fifth Avenue order, alongside the text, "pov (point-of-view): you get your heart broken 8 weeks before your wedding."
"Still get to marry me best friend but @Saks Fifth Avenue broke my heart 😫 if anyone sees this dress for purchase plz let a sad bride who loves shells know 🥹#2025bride," Brunetto captioned her post.
She excitedly ordered the sequined dress with lace seashell detailing on Feb. 26, only to have it canceled on March 2. Customer support told Brunetto that the dress was unable to be reordered due to "an inventory issue of some sort."
"I was definitely disappointed after that, and that’s when I made the video, hoping maybe a few people might see and maybe be able to find the dress online somewhere else," Brunetto tells PEOPLE. "It was perhaps a bit dramatic, but I certainly did not anticipate anything like this happening — for me it was more of a release to the universe kind of moment that got quite the answer back."

Carley Brunetto's canceled dress orderShe continues: "It might seem a little silly to cry about a dress, but weddings and the whole planning process are a really emotional time so I think a lot of brides can probably relate."
Brunetto's video quickly went viral, with it now at 4.7 million views and 265,000 likes. Fashion content creator Madeleine White, 29, saw her plea for help and knew she could save the day.
In a response video with 15.6 million views and 2 million likes, White explained that she happened to have the same dress in Brunetto's size.
"Sometimes having the world's most extra closet comes in handy 😂. Enjoy!!! ❤️❤️❤️," White captioned a video of herself packaging up the dress, along with a few extra goodies and a sweet note, for Brunetto.
White, also a bride-to-be, is planning on tying the knot with DJ Andrew Fedyk somewhere in Europe in summer 2025. Although White has "three wedding dresses" and around 20 bridal-esque looks in her closet, she actually bought the cream shell dress for her summer vacation last year.
"I had no plans to wear it again, so I was so happy to see this video pop up on my FYP and know that I could help," White tells PEOPLE.

Madeleine White's note and dressNearly 5,000 people commented on White's video, praising her for her generosity. Brunetto — who will marry J Chris Owens, 36, at The Canoe Club Daufuskie Island in South Carolina on April 26 — has been moved by White's kindness, along with the hundreds of other women who offered to send their bridal dresses to her.

"There were so many comments from girls sharing links to rent the dress or offering to sell theirs, or just being supportive of each other, and it was so sweet to see girls coming together," Brunetto says.
