This Super Cool Company Lets Kids Design Their Own Cute Clothes

As most parents will testify kids love being given free reign over their sartorial choices. “Of course spotty socks go with a super hero costume mum?! Duh!” So imagine a child’s off-the-scale excitement if they could actually wear something they’d designed themselves?
Well, step forward Picture This, a genius new company that turns kids fashion doodles into actual dresses. The idea is the brainchild of mum-of-two Jaimee Newberry who first had the lightbulb moment after making a dress for her daughter, Zia from a drawing she’d done.

“Zia loved it and it has since been a big hit with everyone that’s seen it,” explains Jaimee in a blog post for Medium, adding that Zia often told people, “I’m wearing my imagination!”
The dress created such a stir with both her daughter’s friends and their parents’, that Jaimee decided to make a business out of it.
It works a little like this. You head over to the Picture This website, choose a size and print out a dress template colouring sheet. Then you let your little one run riot with the felt tips, before sending their finished design to the website. Two weeks later, the finished dress arrives in the post. Simples!

At the moment the company only makes dresses – as they wanted to be sure people are actually liked their product before they expand – but they plan to launch other products soon. And in addition to kid-sized dresses, they also let kids design dresses for their dolls.
If only they came in adult sizes too? *sighs*
