This $17 Target find is a dead ringer for Ina Garten’s rustic $225 flower vase
This Joanna Gaines-designed crock can hold utensils, crafting supplies, flowers and more — so naturally, we're stocking up!
Ina Garten is famous for a lot things — first and foremost, her cooking. But fans also admire her home in the Hamptons, her authentic personality and her reassurance that sometimes, "store bought is fine." That said, Garten posted a photo to Instagram on July 15 featuring a vase of home-grown roses, and while the fresh blooms look gorgeous, I couldn't help but admire the vase they were in.
Garten often posts photos of her garden stems, but this is the first time she's shown them in this stoneware vase. That said, I wasn't surprised to find that the vase is actually (and appropriately) a utensil crock by Farmhouse Pottery from its Beehive line. I was a little bummed, however, to find that it regularly costs of $225. So, of course, I put my shopping skills to work and I'm proud to report that found a very similar version of the crock at Target for a mere $17. Yes, it's a whole $208 less.
Target's crock is from Joanna Gaines' Hearth & Hand with Magnolia line and it features a rustic, matte, cream stoneware on top and brown on the bottom with a jar-like shape. It would look great holding your everyday cooking utensils or filled with your favorite flowers à la Ina.
You can use this antique-inspired crock to store a range of items in your kitchen.
And in case you're wondering, Target shoppers who've bought the crock love it too. In fact, 96% of them would recommend buying it.
"It’s heavy weight so no tipping over like my old utensils holder use to do," said one customer. "Holds a lot of utensils, like 15, without being too crowded. Easy to clean and looks great."
Other shoppers shared they also found other uses for it though. One wrote: "Very nice looking. I actually use mine to hold knitting needles and it looks great on my craft table. It’s a great size and holds quite a bit."
Those who gave it less than five stars had qualms about the size — they wished it was a little bigger in size all around. It measures 6.25 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide.
Of course, you can be like Ina and get the original, but if you don't want to dish out all your funds, we think the Target one is also just fine.
No matter what you fill your crock with, the stoneware vessel can add a touch of rustic flare to your home.
