The Duchess of Cambridge won't be having a romantic Valentine's Day
If the Duchess of Cambridge had plans for a romantic Valentine’s Day, she had better think again.
Kensington Palace have confirmed that Kate and William will not be spending the day together. Instead, the Duchess will be heading to Cambridgeshire to meet air cadets at an RAF base.
She will be introduced to a number of cadets who will be at the base for a week-long development camp. “The week acts as an initial ‘camp experience’ for cadets who are in their first six months of membership. Her Royal Highness will join the cadets as they view a Tutor aircraft, and participate in a personal development training session,” a statement read.
This will be Kate’s third visit since becoming Royal Patron and Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadet Organisation. The Duchess earned the title after the Duke of Edinburgh stepped down from the role in December 2015.
Although she won’t be spending time with William, Kate will get to experience her husband’s job by using a flight simulator during her visit.
The couple will be making their next public appearance at the BAFTAs on Sunday 12 February.
