The Duchess of Cambridge debuts her best look yet at the 2017 BAFTAs
The Duchess of Cambridge’s attendance at the BAFTAs may have been up in the air but her appearance was well worth the wait.
The royal couple were the last to arrive at this year’s star-studded awards, opting for an intricate black gown by one of her favourite designers, Alexander McQueen.

The dress, which featured subtle off-the-shoulder straps, was printed with floral bunches in a tiered design that also included elegant black ribboning.
She paired the look with simple black pumps and a matching satin clutch – also by McQueen.
Kate styled her hair in a bouffant updo with her make-up consisting of her usual black eyeliner and natural lips. The Duchess accessorised with some eye-catching chandelier earrings and a stunning diamond bracelet.
The elegant dress is the Duchess’s best red carpet look yet, overtaking her white Self Portrait ensemble from back in November. Meanwhile, the Duke was dressed in a traditional black tuxedo and velvet slip-ons.
According to BAFTA insiders, A-list guests have been warned not to take selfies with the royals and to behave respectfully at all times.
This is William’s first appearance at the ceremony in two years; one that will be greatly appreciated by the film academy as he fulfils his duty as president.
