Since the day most of us clapped eyes on the 1995 hit film, Clueless, we’ve been dreaming of the time when Cher’s outfit-picking computer became a reality.

Fast forward 22 years and that day has finally arrived.

Amazon Prime has released its ‘Outfit Compare’ tool. Designed in the form of a virtual stylist, the technology is able to tell you whether the clothing combination you picked works based on colour, style, fit and current trends.

In other words, it lets you know if your outfit is fire or complete trash.

Users can send two images of themselves wearing different looks and receive advice within a couple of minutes. The program gives three responses: “Definitely pick this one,” “We like this better” and “It was a close call.”

So does it actually work? Well, the Daily Mail tried it out and reported only good things. (One tip: use a full-length mirror selfie for the best results.)

Although it is currently only available to US members, it is thought that Amazon will introduce the feature globally soon.
