This year's array of limited-edition treats include a "Wicked"-themed cupcake mix, molasses-laced cookies — and plenty of pumpkin-flavored snacks, of course! Read on for some of the best fall foods and beverages you can buy online and get delivered right to your front door.
And if you see something you like, be sure to stock up. If previous years have shown us anything, a lot of these items will sell out before you can go back for more.
First up: Pumpkin Spice Flavor Creme Oreos, Nabisco's limited-edition version of the sandwiched cookie classic. They're creamy. They're pumpkin-y. They're dashed with just the right amount of cinnamon. And we can confirm they're downright delicious dunked in milk or a non-dairy alternative of your choosing.
For something that feels a little fancier, we can't get enough of these Pumpkin Spice Cookies from Tate's Bake Shop, a seasonal take on the thin, crispy cookies that originated in Southampton, NY and have rightfully made their way into homes all over the country. Grab a bag — or several — for serving with coffee or apple cider (the white chocolate chips get perfectly melty when warm). They also look festive on a plate or in a dessert tin.
If there's one word that comes to mind when I think of Levain cookies, it's "indulgent." They're lightly crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside and full of butter and chocolate. The bakery's Fall Chocolate Chunk cookie — a fusion of chocolate chunks, ginger, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and molasses — just returned for the season and is among my personal gourmet favorites for eating and gifting.
I was a little hesitant about these dipped mini pretzels (as somewhat of a snack traditionalist, I tend to stick to the milk- or dark-chocolate variety), but after trying them, I can confirm they are, in fact, the perfect combination of sweet and salty. I shared them with friends and they, too, loved them. The catch: You may find it difficult to stop eating them. Check out Favorite Day's Ghostie Cake Pops for a more playful Halloween dessert.
It's a ... party! Betty Crocker is getting in the "Wicked" spirit with a new, limited-edition collection of boxed cake mix inspired by the Broadway play and upcoming movie. Choose from cupcakes or cake pops and mix to reveal the color, either "perfectly pink" or "enchantingly emerald." I scooped these up to bake with my niece.
Repeat after us: "I can make doughnuts!" At least now you can, thanks to the pumpkin spice-loving chefs from King Arthur. All you need is water, oil, eggs, this mix — and a few doughnut pans — and you can have 12 standard-sized (or 48 mini) doughnuts in as little as eight to 10 minutes. The brand also offers a gluten-free pumpkin bread mix for those who want to get in on the fun but have gluten restrictions.
Pop-Tarts fanatic? Consider adding the brand's new Pumpkin Pie flavor to your rotation. It tastes just like the name would suggest and is ready to eat, as is or toasted, in seconds. We also tried and liked Ghetto Gastro's Gourmet Toaster Pastries in Sweet Potato for something slightly less sweet.
If you're the type to keep protein bars on hand, you simply have to try these pumpkin spice-infused finds from RXBar. They're made with four ingredients — egg whites, almonds, cashews and dates — with a seasonal flavor boost. They pack 12 grams of protein and they taste amazing, with the perfect combination of sweet, spicy and nutty and a consistency that's soft and chewy. I've been throwing them in my tote for getting through long days and have heard rave reviews from others who've tried them.
Speaking of unconventional, consider topping off your ice cream with this pumpkin-flavored caramel sauce from Stonewall Kitchen. It's pumpkin-y, caramel-y, gooey perfection and will take just about anything you decide to scoop, drizzle and swirl it over to another (sweet) dimension. I've also — and impressed guests — with the sweet and savory surprise that is the brand's Pumpkin Pasta Sauce for a seasonal twist on Sunday dinner.
On the hunt for something more savory? Tyson's new Spooky Nuggets — a seasonal take on their regular and dino-themed nuggets — include star pumpkin, bat and ghost shapes for making lunch or dinner a Halloween adventure. Hot tip: Get the texture just right, in record-breaking time, by cooking them in one of these editor-tested air fryers.
Swap out your usual sparkling water flavor for this limited-edition infusion from Waterloo, which I love as a lighter, more refreshing alternative to apple cider (or mocktail alternative to a spiced mule). I stock them during fall months and like pouring them over ice with a sliced apple garnish in a wine glass for a more elevated vibe.
Make your morning coffee a little more special — and save money — by skipping your Starbucks drive-thru order and brewing this limited-edition Pumpkin Spice roast at home. It features a mix of sweet and spicy notes for a blend that's strong but not overpowering. Last time we checked, Target had this bagged coffee on sale!
Prefer pods? I'm a big fan of this blend from Green Mountain, which comes in a 24-count box and is compatible with any Keurig. Not only is the coffee delicious (subtly spicy) but the pod style makes it easy to get out the door quickly in the morning. (Check out our guide to the best single-serve coffee makers for a pod-style machine worth buying.)
If you're not quite ready to give up your go-to coffee or tea blend, add a hint of sweetness with Coffee Mate's Pumpkin Spice Creamer. A little bit goes a long way so you don't need to spend a lot of money in the name of flavor. I personally use and love the sugar-free version for making barista-worthy Iced Pumpkin Spiced Lattes right on my counter.
It's an iced latte. It's a cocktail. It's everything (or at least two very exciting things) we love rolled into one. Scoop up a box of Dunkin's Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Lattes as a seasonal alternative to the beloved espresso martini. These canned cocktails are sweet, spicy, creamy and — another biggie for me — easy. I love to serve them to visitors over ice or martini-style, shaken not stirred.
My family has a tradition of getting Jeni's Ice Cream as a way to celebrate big — and small — occasions, and we're all excited about "The Fall Collection." It includes the brand's signature Sweet Potato Marshmallow Praline flavor — a personal craving — along with Bay Leaf Cheesecake, Pumpkin Seed & Rye Cookie and Miso Butterscotch Brownie for the ultimate, albeit a tad unconventional, fall tasting.
