New tell-all book reveals hair-raising details about President Trump's signature hairstyle

A new tell-all book about Donald Trump's time as president divulges hair-raising details about his signature hairstyle.

Michael Wolff's new book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" chronicles the Trump presidency from Election Day to this past December. While the book makes eyebrow-raising claims about the Russia scandal and Trump's relationship with Steve Bannon, Wolff also reveals details about another controversial topic -- the president's hair.

According to Wolff, the president's daughter and White House senior adviser Ivanka Trump once revealed to her friends how her father's hairstyle came to be.

"She often described the mechanics behind it to friends: an absolutely clean pate -- a contained island after scalp-reduction surgery -- surrounded by a furry circle of hair around the sides and front, from which all ends are drawn up to meet in the center and then swept back and security by a stiffening spray," Wolff wrote.

And according to Ivanka, her father, at 71 years old, is no longer a natural blonde.

"The color, she would point out in comical effect, was from a product called Just for Men – the longer it was left on, the darker it got," Wolff said. "Impatience resulted in Trump's orange-blond hair color."

If you recall, President Trump's hair has been the subject of many bizarre theories.

Gawker alleged that Trump spent $60,000 on a hairpiece, while hair expert Gersh Kuntzman argued that it wasn't a toupee -- just a bad combover.
