Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl Outfit Contained A Major Travis Kelce Easter Egg

At last Sunday’s Grammys, Taylor Swift sported a Kansas City Chiefs-red Vivienne Westwood minidress that contained several Travis Kelce tributes and Easter eggs. At last night's Super Bowl, the singer’s ensemble for watching her boyfriend play had one big nod to the Chiefs tight end and Swift’s discography.

Swift arrived to Caesars Superdome wearing a white blazer, tank, Daisy Dukes, and white knee-high boots. Fans immediately noticed the 'T' chain around Swift’s neck. It is just like the one she wore on her thigh at the Grammys last Sunday.

It also perfectly reflects her 'Call It What You Want' lyric: 'I want to wear his initial / On a chain ’round my neck, chain ’round my neck / Not because he owns me / But ’cause he really knows me.'

During the Grammys, some Swifties theorised that Swift and Kelce coordinated outfits to do one big Easter egg. While Kelce wasn’t at the award ceremony, he arrived in New Orleans that day wearing a gold Palm Angels tracksuit.

Fans noted that Swift’s red dress and Kelce’s golden travel look illustrated her 'Daylight' lyric, 'I once believed love would be burnin’ red / But it’s golden.'

At the Grammys, Swift also had a 'T' charm on her thigh — a similar one to tonight’s necklace. The thigh placement seemed to be a nod to a lyric from her The Tortured Poets Department track 'Guilty as Sin': 'What if he’s written mine on his upper thigh?'

Swift has purposely hidden Easter eggs in her outfits and music videos throughout her career. In October 2022, she released a statement to The Washington Post explaining the origin of the move. 'When I was 15 and putting together my first album, [...] I decided to encode the lyrics with hidden messages using capital letters,' she said. 'That’s how it started, and my fans and I have since descended into colour coding, numerology, word searches, elaborate hints, and Easter eggs. It’s really about turning new music into an event for my fans and trying to entertain them in playful, mischievous, clever ways. As long as they still find it fun and exciting, I’ll keep doing it.'
