Strictly's Wynne Evans pulls out of It Takes Two last minute - after being tipped as next to leave
Strictly Come Dancing celeb Wynne Evans has pulled out of Wednesday night's It Takes Two. Minutes into the programme, host Janette Manrara informed fans that he and partner Katya Jones would not be appearing on the show.
Addressing their absence, Janette said: "If you've got any questions like, 'Why are Chris and Dianne on when yesterday we said it was going to be Wynne and Katya?' It's live TV, guys. You've got to roll with it, alright? Just roll with it." The last minute shake up comes after himself and Katya were placed in the bottom two last week, facing Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu in the dance off.
It was the first time the star, known for his Go Compare ads was in the dance off, however, he was saved by the judges, and former Coronation Street star Shayne Ward was sent home. The judges were left in a tough position, with Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse opted to keep Shayne, while Anton Du Beke wanted to save Wynne. It was then down to head judge Shirley Ballas, who decided to keep in Wynne and Katya.

The decision sparked 'outrage' among viewers, and Wynne is now the next star tipped to leave the 20th series, as the stars head to Blackpool. Lee Astley, a spokesperson for Bet Ideas, commented on the situation, stating: "Wynne Evans was fortunate to survive yesterday's dance-off against Shayne Ward, and we make the Welsh tenor the firm favourite to leave Strictly this weekend," highlighting the lack of support for Wynne's continuation in the competition, reports the Mirror.
"Evans has been flirting with danger for a couple of weeks now and is odds-on at 4/7 to be eliminated on Sunday comfortably ahead of Pete Wicks (4/1) in the betting."
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to express Wynne and Katya's 'no show,' although it's been reported they will be on the spin off show tomorrow alongside EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas.
"Obsessed with Janette addressing the change. It was meant to be Wynne today but it's Chris & Dianne instead. I wonder where Wynne is today?" questionned one curious fan. Another penned: "Wonder why the sudden guest swap for it takes two tonight #strictly"
It's a busy week for the stars and their dance partners as they're currently rehearsing for the all important Blackpool show, which will be shown live this Saturday night on BBC One.
