Strictly's Nikita Kuzmin debuts bold new look after admitting 'nobody liked' his facial hair
Nikita Kuzmin has shared a video of himself shaving off his moustache, after admitting that most people in his life had not been fans of it. Posting the clip to his Instagram account, the Strictly Come Dancing pro simply penned the caption: "Rip my little mustache."
In the video, he said: "So we're chopping it off by popular demand, nobody liked it. I did, a bit of Zorro." Smiling he then complained: "I don't want to chop it off."
As Nikita shaved, his girlfriend Lauren could be heard laughing in the background and encouraging him to shave off the facial hair.
Fans were quick to comment on the clip, with some sharing that they had actually liked the TV star's moustache. One wrote: "It was gorgeous on you don't let people tell you what to do." To which Nikita clarified: "I agreed with the shaving off opinion."
Another fan penned: "You look gorgeous with or without the tash." Nikita's Celebrity Big Brother co-star Bradley Riches was among those sharing their thoughts, as he added: "Also I kind of digged the tash."
It comes after Nikita confirmed that he planned to return to Strictly this year, following his success on Big Brother, which ended with him finishing in second place. When questioned if his BB stint would impact his Strictly plans on Loose Women, Nikita replied: "Oh no! No, no, I hope not. I love Strictly. Strictly is the only reason why I'm here.
"It's the only reason I could do Big Brother in the first place. They are my family, I love every single one of them. I hope to be back every single year up until I can, or until they want me there."
A source has also told OK! that due to his popularity Nikita and Lauren could easily become a new TV power couple. The insider explained: "Fans love his sweet relationship with his girlfriend, Laura, too – these two could potentially become the next TV power couple potentially even get their own show presenting together!
"ITV is already looking at signing him up for other shows, he’s come across so well. There is nothing not to like about this guy." They shared that Nikita's success is likely down to his "natural star quality" as they labelled him one of the "nicest people" on both Strictly and CBB.
They said: "Nikita just has natural star quality. He is probably one of the nicest people on Strictly and in the CBB house, as we’ve seen. He’s probably one of the most down-to-earth people in showbiz.
"He’s charming with his fellow CBB housemates, he can have a laugh, he’s kind, and he’s just so likeable. He’s such a genuine person – he’s got the whole package but, unlike some of the other Strictly dancers, he doesn't have a big head with it, it’s never in-your-face."
