Strictly's Dianne Buswell sends emotional message to dad as he beats cancer - 'I know you were scared'
Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell has taken to Instagram with a heartfelt tribute to her father, Mark, as he completed his cancer treatment. The professional dancer shared a series of photos showing her dad in the hospital, giving a thumbs-up despite the tough times.
In her post, 34 year old Dianne expressed immense pride and admiration for her dad, who has endured 12 rounds of chemotherapy over six months. She affectionately referred to him as her "hero" and praised his unwavering positivity throughout the ordeal.
The ITV favourite penned: "To my daddy you did it six months later and 12 rounds done. I am so so PROUD of you it's been a tough road but you have always done it with a smile and a thumbs up."
"I know you were scared and I know it was not easy but you have done it. I wish so much I could be there right now and just cuddle you."
Dianne also acknowledged her mother's steadfast support during this challenging time, thanking her for being an incredible pillar of strength. She concluded by expressing her eagerness to reunite her parents with their children in the UK, hinting at plans for a much-needed family visit, reports the Express.
"You're my hero and you have made me realise we all have so much more strength then we think," she wrote. "And to my beautiful mum who has not left your side and been the best support system ever thank you. Us kids are so lucky to have you both we love you so much."
Strictly Come Dancing cast members quickly took to the comments section to offer their congratulations and well wishes. Fellow professional dancer Vito Coppola stated: "Mark you have been a warrior and Gorji @diannebuswell absolutely a strong rock."

Back in October 2023, an emotional Dianne revealed that her dad had cancer and she has been keeping her fans posted on social media about how he's getting on ever since, so her followers are sure to be thrilled at the news he has beaten the disease.
