Strictly stars Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola join This Morning team
ITV's This Morning has recruited Strictly Come Dancing champions Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola for a very special segment.
During today's (January 10) edition of the magazine programme, presenters Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle welcomed the pair to the sofa with: "We have got to start with some very exciting news... you are becoming This Morning family members! Can you tell us what you'll be up to?"
Visibly thrilled, former Coronation Street actress Leach responded: "We are! We are so, so excited! Well, I'm apparently turning into a teacher... I don't know how [Vito feels] about that! But we are going to basically give three couples some dancing lessons.
"You know when a couple can have an event, a wedding or birthday or something where you're always trying to get one of them up to dance..." she continued.
"My mum's always saying that to my dad and he's like, 'I'm not dancing, I'm not dancing'. So we're going to show couples some moves!"
Chipping in, the Italian choreographer declared: "Anyone can dance and everyone has to dance!" before Leach added: "Dancing has become a huge part of my life and something that I really, really fell in love with and if we can help people feel the same way, then it's amazing."
Further along, the soap actress was asked how she's been feeling in the wake of her Strictly triumph.
"I don't think it will ever sink in! I still cannot believe that we won... it was such an emotional time and it kind of feels like a dream – but the best dream ever!"
Leach then confessed that her dad needed to fix the Glitterball trophy after it was accidentally damaged, saying: "He took it to the shed and it's fixed and it's on the dining room table and it's perfect."
