Status: Shopping Sandy Liang x Salomon’s Latest Sneaker Collab

Sandy Liang, 'It’ girl designer whose pieces lives rent-free on Pinterest feeds everywhere, featured Salomon footwear in her runway show back in 2021, and the French sneaker brand has been on my radar ever since. The two brands then joined forces in 2023 to release the XT-6 Expanse and RX Moc 3.0, and again last year with their Speedcross 3 Ribbon Sneaker (something you've probably seen on your favorite influencers).
Now, ahead of Valentine’s Day and New York Fashion Week, the dynamic duo has dropped their third sneaker collab—a limited-edition spin on a Salomon archival sneaker. Needless to say, the entire Cosmo shopping team is salivating at the mouth for a pair.
XT-WHISPER
The XT-Whisper, a technical trail shoe from the Salomon archives, has gotten a girlish makeover. The exclusive new colorway features baby pink mesh with swirls of matte and metallic silver, a white rubber outsole, and bright red treads. Laces are swapped out for a sporty drawstring, and you’ll find Sandy Liang’s five-petal flower logo on the top of the shoe as well as on the inside sole.
“The XT-Whisper is one of my favorite silhouettes from Salomon’s archives, and I loved the challenge of reimagining it through a fresh, modern lens,” said Liang in a press release. “This collaborative design reflects my love for outdoor adventures paired with the practicality and ease of my everyday city life.”

The limited-edition XT-Whisper sneakers are currently available to shop on the Salomon website for $150. And if you’d like to see the shoe in person, limited quantities will be available at the Sandy Liang store on 28 Orchard St. in New York City starting on January 16 at 12 p.m. EST.
