Stacey Solomon left with black eye after home accident – following fiery Loose Women debate

Stacey Solomon has revealed that she has been left with a black eye following her latest home improvement project. The TV star, 34, recently revealed that she has added two adorable little ducklings to her ever-expanding family.

Following the duckling's arrival, Stacey has been building a coop for them. However, this took a rather painful turn on Monday night (3 June) when she continued the building project despite the sun going down.

Sharing a video on Instagram on Tuesday morning (4 June) Stacey showed off her injured eye, which she had cut after dropping part of the coop. She explained: "I thought 'If I don't put it up right this second I won't put it up until the weekend.

"And any normal person would say 'It's fine put it up at the weekend, they're not going to be in that coop for another six weeks' but my toxic trait is if there's something in front of me I have to do it immediately. So I persisted to build a duck coop in literally dusk, dusk lighting and I got to the roof, got to the triangle bit on the roof and dropped it on my eye [laughs].

"Ugh why am I like this? So that'll be fun at the shoot tomorrow. It will probably be worse tomorrow. It's always worse the day after the day after."

It comes after Stacey made her long-awaited return to the Loose Women panel, where she became involved in a fiery debate with co-star Denise Welch. During a discussion on stay-at-home husbands and remote working. Mum-of-five-Stacey argued that flexible working arrangements have been a godsend for many families, especially those with children.

Denise, however, lamented the lack of available staff in businesses, suggesting "This country is collapsing" because everyone is working from home. Stacey hit back, questioning if her co-panellist really believed remote working was the root cause of staffing issues, rather than considering the struggles faced by workers like nurses on zero-hour contracts. "So it has nothing to do with the fact that a nurse is grafting hard on a zero hours contract, struggling to pay childcare? No wonder people aren't signing up to do these jobs, they just aren't paid enough to do them" she argued.

As the debate heated up, viewers rushed to social media to voice their support for the returning star and her opinions. One viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "I don't usually watch #loosewomen but today I am, I totally agree with Stacey Solomon." Another chimed in with: "@StaceySolomon talking sense on #LooseWomen #workingfromhome."

A third shared their support: "Stacey absolutely wiping the floor with Densy [clapping hand emojis] #LooseWomen,". And a fourth lamented Stacey's TV break: "What a shame Stacey is stepping back from TV, she's the only redeeming feature of #LooseWomen."
