Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash's row in the street 'was real' - 'They're worried about how much they're exposing themselves'
Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, one of Britain’s favourite celebrity couples, had their many fans in tears with their fairytale wedding back in 2022, in the grounds of their stunning home, Pickle Cottage. But they had fans concerned that there may be issues between them recently, when they seemed to have a ‘row’ in the street, with Stacey spotted in tears. The Sort Your Life Out star subsequently jetted off on what she called a ‘much needed’ girl’s trip to Las Vegas, telling fans on Instagram that she was feeling ‘supported’ by her pals, after reports of the row with former EastEnders star Joe, 42, emerged.
The TV presenter, 35, was seen in tears after Joe walked down the road alone, puffing on a vape. An emotional Stacey looked upset and was seemingly being comforted by a member of the camera crew that the couple had with them. An onlooker claimed to a newspaper: “About 15 minutes later Joe was having an animated talk with the man. Eventually Stacey walked towards Joe in the car and shouted something. They ended up leaving separately. It all looked very tense.”
Now, a source claims that the couple’s row in the street was genuine - and possibly the result of strain caused by filming their upcoming fly-on-the-wall reality show. “Their recent argument was a real one and both are wondering what they signed up for. It seemed a great idea at the time but they’re worried about exposing themselves even more, which is what this row showed.”

For anyone that follows them on social media, the couple regularly share glimpses of their marriage - including the hilarious pranks they play, joking around with each other and occasionally, annoying each other too. But we’ve never seen them quite in this light before.
Rumours of the couple’s much-anticipated BBC reality show, thought to have the title Escape To Pickle Cottage, is set to follow Stacey, Joe and their six children’s busy lives at their lavish Essex home and beyond. Not only is their home, full of Stacey’s interior talents, energetic kids and their dogs, it also hosts a family of ducks - Daisy & Delilah Solomon-Swash, who Stacey admitted ‘have brought so much joy to our lives’.
Given their huge fan base already, fans have been very excited about the prospect of this unique, unfiltered glimpse into their favourite celebrities’ lives. But our source goes on to claim that filming is not the easy ride Stacey may have thought it was - and that it was a project she was perhaps more invested in than her other half.
"It's really starting to show the strain between her and Joe - she wanted this more than him and he’s not as comfortable being filmed 24/7," they claimed. “When Stacey signed up for the reality show she had no idea how much pressure she would be under."
Reality shows by their very nature are often warts and all, just look at Netflix hit At Home With the Furys, or across the pond, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, where drama and in-family fights are the order of the day - but it seems, the exposing nature of filming their own might be hitting home for Stacey and Joe.
“Despite people telling her that it’s not as easy as it looks, she just thought it would be like putting up posts and stories on her Instagram. But producers want drama and storylines so it won’t just be her playing happy families," claimed our source. “Stacey is quite open about their arguments but this was a big one - and there has been a lot of tension."
During Stacey’s trip to Las Vegas, when she and her friends saw Adele in concert and was even serenaded by the star, the doting mum-of-six praised her pals saying "they literally lift me up, have my back, keep me going, make me feel so supported & I just couldn’t do life without them."
Upon her return to the UK, any rumours of lingering tension seemed to be swiftly put to bed, however - as Loose Women favourite Stacey was greeted at the airport by Joe, accompanied by the couple’s children, Rex, 5, Rose, 3, and Belle, 1, who were all smiles and holding a heartwarming 'Love you mum' banner to welcome Stacey back.
Joe later shared adorable snaps of their sweet reunion, melting fans' hearts as he captioned the pictures, "The kids were super excited to show mummy the welcome home board they made. We all missed her so much. Just ain't the same without you Stacey," to which Stacey commented: "My babies came to the airport for me."
And Stacey’s trip across the pond seems to have done everyone the world of good, claimed our source. "Stacey went away for a few days and in that time Joe realised how much he missed her, needs her - and that they do really love each other.”
Let’s hope that the natural stresses and strains of being followed around by a camera crew every day don’t lead to any more clashes between the couple - because despite the odd tense spat, these two clearly adore each other.
