Stacey Solomon fans want star to receive 'honour' as they praise final episode of DIY show

Stacey Solomon's fans are clamouring for her to be honoured after the finale of her hit Channel 4 show, Renovation Rescue. The series has seen Stacey become a fairy godmother to distressed homeowners, swooping in to save the day when rogue builders have left them in the lurch.

On Tuesday night, 14 May, viewers watched as the series wrapped up with Stacey visiting Bradford to assist single mum Tammy and her daughter Sam, who were desperately in need of a kitchen and dining area.

Stacey was praised as the final episode aired, with fans taking to social media to gush over the Loose Women star. One viewer tweeted: "Fair play #RenovationRescueC4 has been a joy and Stacey Solomon actually does a better job of bringing in the renovations on budget than the highly trained architects on many other property shows."

Another said: "@StaceySolomon better be on the NY Honours list for helping all of these homeowners get their lives back. If they can give it to Titchmarsh for horticulture, they can give it to peoples champion Stace. #RenovationRescueC4", reports the Mirror.

A fourth fan gushed on Twitter, now known as X: "#renovationrescuec4. I love @StaceySolomon. That is all. It's the feel good TV I needed."

While one more viewer tweeted their admiration, saying: "#renovationrescuec4 love @StaceySolomon knocking out a fireplace in her pastel pink jumpsuit and just going for it! !"

Stacey has been wowing fans with her newfound DIY prowess throughout the series. She is known for being an organisational queen and a creative powerhouse and often shares the incredible changes she makes to her home, known as Pickle Cottage.

Her knack for DIY and organisation first caught everyone's attention on social media, leading to her landing gigs on shows Sort Your Life Out and Renovation Rescue. Stacey has often spoken about how her parents equipped her with the basics of "nearly everything" to ensure she could stand on her own two feet.

Renovation Rescue, which is part of Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine production company, has been a dream come true for Stacey, especially since the Hollywood A-lister knew who she was!

She recently expressed her disbelief, saying, "How does she even know me? I still to this day don't know how they found me. They just said they wanted me. Maybe some of her researchers and her team had seen the show."

Mum-of-five Stacey revealed last month that her TV crew had to step in because her husband Joe Swash isn't quite as handy as she is. "Let me put it this way, right, we were filming and I was doing some bits at the house as well," she shared on This Morning.

"They wanted to show some of the things I really wanted to do at home, DIY wise, so we started building a wall in the gym, well, it's a garage I was turning into a gym."

Stacey explained that the wall was to separate Joe's smelly fishing gear from the rest of the space.

"They said: 'Why don't we get Joe involved, that would be really nice, have you both doing it together' and I said: 'At your peril! ' He came in with a giant mallet and the health and safety woman was like: 'Woah, woah, woah! Where's the goggles, where's the steel toes, what's going on! ' Everyone had a right flap because he was just being Joe, he doesn't check anything! ".
