Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, emerges on Buckingham Palace balcony in white dress
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, was the picture of elegance as she arrived at the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla today, before joining the official balcony appearance.
The King and Queen led the working Royal Family members onto the balcony, including the Princes and Princess of Wales with their three children and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. The family watched helicopters conduct a flypast before the red arrows flew overhead emitting the famous red, white and blue colours.
Always one to look stunning, Sophie opted for a gorgeous white high-neck dress with beautiful lace detailing for the momentous occasion.
To finish off her stylish look, the Duchess accessorised her outfit with a gorgeous white floral headpiece and sophisticated silver diamond earrings.
Over the top of the Duchess' chic outfit, Sophie is wearing a regal blue cloak requested by King Charles III for the occasion.
The Duchess of Edinburgh is married to the King's brother, Edward, Duke of Edinburgh. Together the couple arrived at Westminster Abbey with their two children — James Mountbatten-Windsor, Earl of Wessex and Lady Louise.
The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla took place today, Saturday 6 May. The King and Queen were coronated in a two hour ceremony at Westminster Abbey — which began at 11am and lasted until 1pm.
The beautiful Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh wasn't the only one to look stylish when arriving at at Westminster Abbey for the coronation ceremony.
The beloved royal Princess Anne looked smart and elegant as she donned a green cloak for the celebratory occasion.
