Snickers Just Launched a Limited-Edition Chocolate Bar, and It Tastes 10x Better Than the Original
Although I love a chocolate bar year-round, there’s something about the seasonal drops that just make it taste entirely better (even if it’s just the same candy in a different shape!). It could be the varying chocolate-to-filling ratio or the innate joy that comes with eating whimsically shaped treats.
This season, Snickers has released newly reformulated Snickers Trees. With my love for the novelty and nougat, I headed over to my local grocery store to snag one to see how it stacked up against the OG (and, well, the reigning champ of tree-shaped chocolates).
What You Should Know About Snickers Trees
No, you don’t have déjà vu. The Snickers Trees have been part of the brand’s seasonal catalog for some time now, but this year Mars (its parent company) reformulated the recipe to feature more filling. Namely, more caramel, smooth nougat, and roasted peanuts packed into that familiar milk chocolate shell.
As a candy connoisseur, I was particularly excited about this update: I’m well aware that there’s an art to uniquely shaped chocolates. It’s not just a Snickers bar; it’s a complete ratio adjustment that alters the taste and texture of the candy.

My Honest Review of Snickers Trees
While you might be thinking that this is a standard Snickers bar just in a different shape, I can assure you it isn’t. It’s incredibly tasty — uniquely tasty, might I add.
Sure, the bar contains the usual fillings: caramel, nougat, and peanut filling all in a silky-smooth chocolate coating. And yet, somehow this one tastes creamier? It’s sweet, chewy, lightly salted, and generally a melodious array of flavors and textures.
It’s so good that I’d even go as far to say that they’re better than a Reese’s Christmas Tree (yes, really!). That’s because there’s way more texture and flavor going on in this revamped tree. I’m going to be picking up a few more Snickers Trees to stuff into stockings, gift bags, and my mouth before they’re gone for the season.
