This six-year-old is Instagram's newest style icon
Coco Hamamatsu has over 100,000 followers on Instagram. French fashion house Chanel loves her. So do Vogue.
Did we mention that she’s only six years old?
The mini fashionista has become an Instagram sensation after developing a love of street style fashion.
Based in Tokyo, Coco chooses her own clothes, styles her outfits and decides her pose for her many fans.
Her fun-loving sense of style started when Coco’s parents, who own a vintage store in Harajuku, began bringing her clothes back from the US.
“Every time she received her clothing packet present from her dad she was so happy, and gradually developed her love for clothing,” Coco’s mother, Misato Hamamatsu, told the Daily Mail.
Although her father still gives her tips, Coco has reportedly been picking out her own outfits since the age of two.
As well as a penchant for bold colours and unusual pairings, the six-year-old has a bag collection any grown woman would die for.
She is never seen without a bag from *that* Ikea style to vintage Chanel designs.
Her mother describes her style as mixing “high fashion and art, and always changing and evolving.”
Coco has become so famous that she is now recognised by people on the streets of Tokyo.
“She gets noticed by young Japanese kids and foreigners who have seen her Instagram,” her mum commented. “She enjoys being noticed, and all the attention gives her lots of energy and motivation.”
She has also received a plethora of invites to big parties and events. However, her parents are determined to keep her in the child world, only letting her attend when she’s older.
