Silent Witness star Emilia Fox says 'I don't know how to do it' as she reveals biggest fear

Silent Witness star Emilia Fox has lifted the lid on her biggest fear as the actress 'there's never going to be enough time to learn' everyone she wants to.

The 50-year-old actress has starred in the BBC forensic pathology drama for more than 20 years, but her busy working life makes it impossible to cram everything in.

Speaking to Women's Weekly magazine, she said: "I'd like some work adventures, and also to make a vegetable garden and create more cooking, and listen to more things, and read and learn more.

"I think that's the bit I feel the most - it's like there's never going to be enough time to learn all I want. And I don't know how to do it."

The 28th series of Silent Witness draws to a close next month. Emilia admitted that she already had an interest in crime literature before signing up to the show, but surprised herself at how much she enjoyed the medical science side of the programme.

She continued: "When I started doing Silent Witness, I already had an interest in the crime genre and loved crime literature.

"Actually getting to play a part that was in that world was thrilling. I had no idea how fascinated I would be in the medical scientific side of it."

Emilia has one child, 14-year-old daughter Rose, with ex-partner Jeremy Gilley, and the pair live with her current partner, TV producer Jonathan Stadlen.

She recently opened up on speculation that the pair had tied the knot. Despite the fact Jonathan asks her to marry him 'constantly', she always says no.

The couple did buy 'very ordinary wedding rings' to wear last year as a sign of love.

She told Women's Weekly: "The rings got seen by the press and some people thought we’d gone off on some sort of secret wedding. We hadn’t.”

Emilia added that finding love with Jonathan is “amazing” but the couple “work hard” at it.
