It's no secret that money changes people.

So we want to know: If your significant other came into money, how did it change them?

Maybe neither you nor your girlfriend had much money, so whoever got paid recently covered things like dinners and dates. Then, her relative unexpectedly died, leaving her a large inheritance. She suddenly expected you to split things evenly all the time and became paranoid about being used for her money. While you tried to address it, her behavior didn't change, and eventually, you ended it.

Perhaps your husband won big money with a scratcher. Throughout your marriage, you were both pretty frugal, and you were both excited about a few big purchases before beefing up your retirement funds. However, your husband went on continuous shopping sprees, no matter what you said. By now, he's spent nearly all the winnings, and he doesn't seem to want to cut back. You're worried that this attitude will keep up when the money's gone, landing you both in debt.

Maybe your partner won a major lawsuit, and she became super generous because she finally had the means to be. She donates to various charities, sends money to family members, and regularly pays when she goes out with friends. While you're proud of her big heart, you're a little worried about her kindness being taken advantage of.
