Bae Abermaw Boutique B&B in Barmouth was third, at 100%, and in last place was Chillderness, an off-grid accommodation experience in Powys with a final bill average of 83%.

After finding out they had won, Elise said she was “gobsmacked”, with Steve adding that he was “shell-shocked”, adding: "This is probably the first thing I've ever won in my life so I'm super proud."

Before the guests got there at 35 Main Street Steve and Elise noted they were hoping for the best, as they are in the very early days of being set up. Elise said: “We’ve never done anything like this before. Haven’t got a clue." Gareth agreed: “Clueless.”

The B&B has three double bedroom and two balconies overlooking Solva harbour, and all rooms have a complimentary hamper and TV. Free Wi-Fi and towels are provided, and all rooms are £125 per night with breakfast included.

Everyone also gushed about the range of complimentary items from fudge, to Welsh cakes and prosecco which were all part of some baskets left in the rooms.

The business also features a restaurant which is the star of the show, with stunning harbour views and a terrace, making it a picturesque dining spot, with food cooked by head chef Julian Kreft has previously cooked for the Queen and worked alongside Gordon Ramsay.

All of the guests were impressed with their cooked breakfasts, with Anjana and David who run Childerness in Powys nodding in approval. Anjana described the eggs as “beautiful” and “perfect.” When she was asked if it was top marks for the best chef in Pembrokeshire, she replied: “I’d say so. Absolutely.”

After finding out the winners, another one of the guests, who came in second place, Carys, who runs C&R Cottage Collection in Tenby said: "We've been fair and I feel like the best man won."
