Before the guests got there, Steve and Elise noted they were hoping for the best, as they are in the very early days of being set up. Elise said: “We’ve never done anything like this before. Haven’t got a clue." Gareth agreed: “Clueless.”
The B&B has three double bedrooms and two balconies overlooking Solva harbour, and all rooms have a complimentary hamper and TV. Free Wi-Fi and towels are provided, and all rooms are £125 per night with breakfast included.

As guests arrived at the B&B, one remarked that the building from the outside “looks old” but added that “this was nice”, noting that he “loved the little river" while another said the view was “lovely” after stepping inside the room.
Another guest said that one of the suites was “so sweet and so thoughtful” although they did note that they wished they had a hair towel in the room. Two guests also found two curls of hair in the toilets of two suites, and some complained that there were corners of dust on the radiator
Carys and Rhys whose C&R Cottage Collection in Tenby are also to be reviewed in the series were told they would be staying in room three which is usually £125 for the night. While looking at their room, Rhys remarked it was “nice and airy” and “nice and light.”
However, later in the episode, the Pembrokeshire couple found a patch of dust above their mirror cabinet in their bathroom. Carys noted: “Quite a lot of dust on top of there”, and she later pointed to a human hair on their toilet seat, noting: “There’s a bit of a curly wurly there.”
Owners of Bae Abermaw Boutique Bed & Breakfast in Gwynedd, Tanya and Gary got to enjoy a stay in a room which also has a kitchen attached, and while they were impressed with the space, noting that it was “like a farmhouse kitchen”, they also found that a sheet was still in the washing machine. Gary joked: “Are we expected to wash our own sheets?”
The next morning, all of the guests were impressed with their cooked breakfasts, with Anjana and David who run Childerness in Powys nodding in approval. Anjana described the eggs as “beautiful” and “perfect.” When she was asked if it was top marks for the best chef in Pembrokeshire, she replied: “I’d say so. Absolutely.”
Everyone also gushed about the range of complimentary items from fudge, to Welsh cakes and prosecco which were all part of some baskets left in the rooms.
Later, David commented when giving the feedback how much he enjoyed the breakfast and praised the "quality ingredients", and the others agreed. But Carys believed that the facilities could be better as there was "no mirror in the room" which the hosts agreed after reading their feedback would need to be sorted out.
Most of the guests marked various categories as an eight to a ten, but the breakfast and the hosting skills were what they enjoyed the most, with several tens given. All of the guests said they would stay again, which Steve and Elise were delighted with as they read the comments from their visitors.
Elise remarked: "We must be doing something right", after seeing that their guests had described them both as "warm and welcoming."
Steve added at the end of the show: "That was a relief", adding that he was looking forward to staying at the other hosts' stays and noting: "Let's hope they bring their A-game."
